Acrylic and mixed media with collaged layers on deep edged canvas.  
Capturing the changing elements and motions of a turning tide. Painted with glazes and textures which reveal additional surfaces and meaning below the paint.
My paintings usually begin with layers of collage- maps, poems or excerpts from books, as well as sand , papers or found materials. Onto this surface layers of paint , textures and intensity of colour are added which partly conceal the collage underneath.
